Segregation can be use as a visual metaphor by separating apples and oranges because of their color or texture while the unity will represent that they are both fruits.
Anger can be use as a visual metaphor by using cats and dogs fighting because of their color or texture while happy will represent them reasoning their difference and adapt to live together.
CG Animation can be use as a visual metaphor by using Barbie dolls as live action film actress while 2D Animation can will been card broad girl dolls as live action film actress.
Struggle can be use as a visual metaphor by using the earth’s wind that beats against a tree while silver spoon can be used when a tree is in a habitat environment.

Your topic seems very broad, so what aspects of teen struggle do you plan to focus on the most? The struggle of trying to fit in? The struggle of dealing with parents and older figures? The struggle of staying "who you are?" Finding oneself? The struggle of staying out of trouble? You have many ways to go on this, I believe the list of words and metaphors will help you a lot.
