I went to the commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. There were a crowd of people from all culture and race that seemed to enjoy the political speeches and praises of Dr. King’s dream of unity and a better life for all mankind. Without the powerful speeches and gathering of the people in the state of Memphis, Tennessee, the even was disappointed for me.
I felt that the speakers were just making the crowd fill with hope while the speakers’ political view was to be seen as a black leader. Doc. King died as a man who came to Memphis to lead people to a better way, which should be remember but not the man died but the God he severed.
There seem to be a lot of people who miss out that Doc. King were a Rev. and not just a civil rights leader. I know from my own experience that what he done could with the help of the Holy Spirit, Some of the speakers was aware of this but their heart was on that the Black people Memphis will reach their full potent ional in this corrupt system.
