Goal and Reworked Storyboard

My goal is to start with shot 001 with a couple looking face to face to show attracted. This scene will go downward to where the boy is grabbing the girl’s right hand as it fades out into the next scene Shot002. This scene is where the couple is on a train track that leads up to two paths. One path has trees on the tracks and the other is clear but has a mountain in the far ground. This scene will go to Shot003 in which is a close up of Shot002. Shot003 will go back and forward twice than stop in front of the train tracks with the trees covering the tracks path. This screen will fade out at this time to Shot004. Shot004 will show the boy pressuring the girl to do something. This mage will do the same; fade in and out. Shot 005 starts with a close up of the couple making out in a bedroom. This frame will start with the face of them both as it circle around the bedroom to the boy hand on the girl’s shoulder to the center view of the view of the couple. This will fade out into the view of the making out scene than fade out to Shot007. Shot007 will show the blue jean and underwear on the floor as it fades to shot008. Shot 008 will flash on and off to Shot009 to show the girl from being used to being pregnant. Shot009 will start at the face of the girl than downward to the stomach to show her pregnant than fade to Shot010 a full view of the girl pregnant. This will fade out to Shot011. Shot011 will go back and forward like it did in Shot003 but it will end at the clear path as it fade into Shot012. This scene will fade out when it get back to clear track to Shot013. This Shot013 will go in to a progression to zoom in on the Today’s Christian Magazine on the table. Shot014, 015, and 016 will be used to zoom in to the part of the cover of the magazine that states the importance of abstinence and the scripture 1 Corinthians 13:4-6. I hope this visual excise will point out how important it is to make right decision about abstinence.

Rethink idea for story board_02_15_08

After intensive prayer and research, I learned I really wanted to teach my audience (teenager) the value of choosing abstinence until marriage. My goal is going by not being preachy but giving my audience the positive and negative effect with ones choice. List below this paragraph are some of the links that help me come to this conclusion.

Comments after class critque_02_13_08

I am not clear of what I need to go. My storyboard wasn't effective in what I was trying to say about the error of having sex without being marriage and how important it is to wait. The images of the different teenagers' thinking does place my audience into the minds of teenagers' are thinking about life decisions; however, thinking about being pressure into having sex does not come across. Therefore, I still am pondering how having sex before marriage is one of the most important experience in your life to avoid.

3 Short Technical Review

The Kid Stays in the Picture I believe was the most well done technique than each film that was reviewed. I loved how like when one of the stills of the man who shadow was moving. That technical alone I believe adds a lot of character.

In the Realms of the Unreal
My technical perspective of the film, In the Realms of the Unreal, I believe where simple but effective. The easing out and in throughout the picture scenes remained me a lot like Ken Burns technique. Though many of the animate scenes of Henry stills were amazing. They seemed like a simple cut and paste on Photoshop; however, I believe some of the stills were re-drawn to capture some of the movement.


Ken Burns Baseball Inning 1 technical perspective for me was what Ken Burn is known for, such as the easing in and out. Though I believe the images that were zoom in then switch to another image was the most effective technique because it explained the narrative story of the piece than the long than easing in and out method.

Now, that I have been given some many great comments, I've learn my topic was too broad. I believe narrowing my topic about how teenagers struggle with themselves will be a better area to explore.

Then again, I am not sure. I think I need to narrow it down. Teens go through so much from my home town poverty, rape, drugs, and lack of opportunities. I what my view to find peace and joy in the Holy Ghost (Rom, 14:17-18) after see these images/film. Struggling with one self deals with a lot of the passion and desires of the soul. The soul is divided in three parts, will, emotion, and thoughts. Influence plays a lot on teen’s development. What doses it mean to struggle with yourself. I have some many struggles myself. Do teens understand what is important or value of themselves. What teen think about themselvf is may be were I want to go toward. Though that is stll broad. Mhow wil I show that visual of how a teen think about him or her self. Many teens think about them self do to their weath.

Research Prospoasl_01/06/08

I am looking to explore teenagers, who are pressure in having sexual intercourse. This topic interests me because of my own experiences and what American’s lifestyles are portrayed on television for the coming generation. I am concern how having sex before marriage has become a norm than wait until marriage. My concept is having stills of a teenage boy and girl in a conversation about a friend who was peer pressured into having sex. The girl will explain what she did to help her friend with the situation by using her uncle's advice about the issue by using a Biblical solution. I am looking to point out what to do when a teen is face with a friend or themselves with such a problem.
